Food & Drink

Le Gabriel

“We wanted to create a living room for the city and a showcase for the Bordeaux wines,” says Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoa, the owner (who also happens to be director of the family winery Château Angélus). The premise is fulfilled in the harmonious restaurant on the Börsenplatz – be it in the bistro Le 1544 on the ground floor or in the Michelin-best “L’Observatoire” on the upper floor.

Le Quatrième Mur

Two restaurants directed by the charismatic chef Philippe Etchebest, both under the roof of the National Opera. Above is the light-flooded brasserie in neoclassical grandeur and with an equally grandiose terrace, in the vaulted cellar the “Table d’Hôtes” with finesse gourmet cuisine (one Michelin star). In the latter, knowledge of French is an advantage: two guests sit at a table and are surprised with a set menu, while they look over the chef’s shoulder and can exchange ideas about the culinary spectacle.

In the basement you can enjoy fine dining in an intimate setting.
