THIS is what you should know before planning your vacation.

Natural disasters and crime, uprisings, war and rebellions: these are all things that you don’t want to experience either in everyday life or on vacation. But depending on where you travel, it could threaten you. The risk map from the security company A3M provides an overview of which regions around the world will be particularly dangerous in 2025.

Which states will be safe in 2025?

The results are divided into several risk levels according to a traffic light system: from very low (green) to very high (dark red). This means: in green countries you can certainly feel relative. We strongly advise against traveling to countries colored red on the map.

The good news: You are very safe in many holiday countries. Sinus most European countries are too Morocco, Japan, Australia, Namibia, Canada and die USA marked “green”.

The situation is different in some popular holiday destinations. That’s what they are like Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and South Africa as well as many countries in Asia Colored yellow on the map, the risk here is at a medium level. Specifically, this means: “Traveling is associated with increased risks. The security situation is tense due to widespread violent crime and/or there are significant health risks, natural hazards or special risks.” But: A trip is possible “without extensive precautions”.

The security situation is even more tense in regions of some travel countries that are actually very popular with many Germans: Egypt and Mexico. In Egypt, the entire western half of the country should be avoided, in Mexico especially the region around the capital Mexico City and the border region with the USA. According to A3M, travel in these “orange” marked regions “associated with high risks.” There should be a security concept and even with that, travel to the areas is still discouraged.

After all: At least in the countries that have an extremely high security risk, no one will probably go on vacation. These are almost exclusively states affected by war, armed conflicts and unrest, such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Ukraine, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Syria.
