NFL announces London teams

Die NFL Continuing their international expansion, the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns will compete in London next season. This was announced by the league on Friday.

The party will be held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the Jets will be the nominated home team. In addition to the Jets and Browns, the Jacksonville Jaguars will also play games in London.

The duel between the Jets and the Browns promises to be exciting as both teams face uncertain quarterback situations. The Cleveland Browns are hoping for the return of Deshaun Watson, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury in October that ended his season early.

Still, the team plans to bolster the quarterback room through free agency or the draft, in which they own the second overall pick.

On the other hand, Aaron Rodgers’ future with the New York Jets is up in the air. The 41-year-old quarterback has said he will consider his future in the game after Sunday’s season finale. Last season, the Jets played in London and lost 23:17 to the Minnesota Vikings.

It will be the franchise’s fifth international game and fourth in London. However, the Browns have played in London once, losing 33-16 to the Vikings in 2017.

It will be over from the 2025 season NFL the ability to field up to eight international regular season games per year. The league has already announced that a regular season game will take place in Berlin and one in Madrid for the first time in 2025.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will play as the home team at Wembley Stadium in 2025, where they have an agreement with the NFL which gives them full responsibility for the game and all related operations.

Over the past two seasons, the Jaguars have played back-to-back games in London – one as the home team at Wembley Stadium and the other as the away team at Tottenham Stadium.

The exact game dates and kick-off times will be announced as soon as the 2025 schedule is published in the spring.
