Escaping motorcyclist crashes into hotel

Escaping motorcyclist crashes into hotel

chronicle

Yesterday evening, a motorcycle driver crashed his bike into the glass facade of a hotel on the Wiedner Belt while fleeing from the police. He had previously dragged a police officer several meters.

The man, who was apparently under the influence of drugs, had drugs on him and did not have a driver’s license, wanted to avoid the stop and accelerated. The police became aware of the Russian because stolen license plates were mounted on the 30-year-old’s vehicle, the police said on Saturday.

Police officers dragged several meters

An officer grabbed the man’s arm and tried to stop him, speeding up the motorcyclist and dragging the police officer several meters. The man escaped and weaved his way through a stationary line of oncoming traffic.

The officer tried again to get in the man’s way, and the biker then crashed into the facade. Although the 30-year-old wanted to escape on foot, he was quickly arrested.

In police custody

A small amount of cannabis herb and presumably cocaine were found and confiscated from the man. The officer was slightly injured in the incident and was no longer able to continue his duties.

Complaints were filed against the suspect on suspicion of resistance to state authority, serious bodily harm and under the Narcotic Substances Act. The 26-year-old is in police custody.
