Bochum subway station: Bogestra is renewing three escalators

Bochum. Bogestra invested 1.5 million euros in three of its escalators. It starts in mid-January and there will be restrictions for passengers.

It will be renewed from mid-January Bogestra three escalators at the Rathaus (Nord) stop in Bochum. These are the bottom three, which are located at the City Point and Drehscheibe shopping centers and lead down to the U35 line.

From January 13th, we ask Bogestra passengers to use the entrance and exit at the corner of Rathaus and Hans-Böckler-Straße. They ask their passengers to prepare for the changed routes before the journey and to allow more time.

The escalators, which are over 13 meters high and each have 168 steps, have now been in use for more than 35 years, explains Bogestra spokesman Christoph Kollmann. The company invested 1.5 million euros in the renovation. It will take about six months for the escalators to be completed.
