MSCI World & S&P 500 Outperformer: Following in Warren Buffett’s footsteps: 1 value investor whose portfolio gained 1,386%

Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger have inspired many successful fund managers to follow their path. One of them is Christopher Bloomstran. He studied finance in Boulder (Colorado, USA) before becoming certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1994. After working for UMB Investment Advisors, managing trust investment businesses in St. Louis and Denver and the Scout Balanced Fund, he founded the Semper Augustus Investments Group Finally, in 1998, he founded his own investment company.

It was then able to achieve a performance of 1.386 percent by the end of 2023, while the S&P 500 index gained around 513 percent over the same period. Between 2013 and the third quarter of 2024 alone, Sempers’ assets under management increased from $169.5 million to $591.6 million.
