Biathlete Niklas Hartweg also in intense pursuit

On Thursday Niklas Hartweg made it sprint with 7th place his best result of the season. From seventh starting position, Hartweg improved Pursuit over 12.5 km until the second shooting in 4th place. Then he lost sight of the podium places with a second shooting error.

Hartweg only missed the finish despite three shooting errors twelve seconds to 3rd place (Johannes Thingnes Bö). Hartweg achieved his best result in the pursuit since a 6th place at Holmenkollen at the end of the 2022/23 season. That weekend in Oslo was the last time Hartweg made it onto the podium in an individual race (as second in the mass start race).

Sebastian Stalder (31st), Jérémy Finello (34th) and Dajan Danuser (46th) doesn’t make it into the top 30.
