Tour d’Afrique 2025: A cycling trip from Cairo to Cape Town

The tour d’Afrique is one yearly Cycling Expedition organized by TDA Global Cycling, a Canadian company based in Toronto. Since its foundation in 2003, the event has led the participants on a trip from Cairo to Cape Town, which covers around 12,000 kilometers for several months.

It is more than a cycling event; It is a transcontinental journey that extends over 121 days over 12,063 kilometers.

In this section, some of the most important historical and cultural sights of the country are highlighted and the participants receive an intimate perspective on the old legacy and the lively daily life of Egypt.

From Cairo to the Red Sea

Cyclists made their way out of The pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, Cairos, most cult symbols before they ventured into the eastern desert. This leg of the trip leads you through a striking landscape of robust mountains and sweeping sand dunes.
