February teacher -feate -winner: Laura Patterson

Tazewell, va. (WVVA) -Laura Patterson was selected as the winner of February for WVVA and Cole Chevy’s teacher -feature competition.

Patterson teaches special education at the Tazewell Primary School. Those around them say they say that they go out for their students.

“I try to give all of these children 100% and the people who work with me 100%, so I try to do it every day. These children are left out many things, so I want them to feel as inclusive as possible. I want you to feel like any other person, ”said Patterson.

Patterson received a number of nomination letters in which she was selected as our latest winner. Those who know Patterson say that she always puts the needs of her students in front of her own.

Patterson is made available to the students who need, clothing and food.

“In any case, I want you to love, be sure, respected and then, when we learn some academic things on the way, is a bonus,” said Patterson. “I am ready to fight for these children to ensure that they get everything they need and that they are accepted in every respect.”

Patterson says that she cannot take all the recognition for the work she does for her students in the classroom. She says people around them make everything possible.

“This is definitely my passion. We have hard days, but it is these hard days we push through and have these aha moments, and that makes it worth it, ”said Patterson.
