Franklin County student population exceeds state takeover threshold – WRBI Radio

(Brookville, IN) – Superintendent Dustin Gehring recently told the Franklin County School Board that the corporation’s student enrollment for this month is above the 1,900 threshold.

That is the minimum number that Indiana school corporations must achieve to prevent a possible state takeover and the closure or sale of underused school buildings.

Meanwhile, the school board and the company’s teachers signed a new one-year contract in which teachers will receive a 5.4% raise.

The contractual conditions apply retroactively to July 1st.
