The Buffalo Bills thank James Cook for the big win

SEATTLE, WA (WHEC) – In a game where the Buffalo Bills were supported by most of their offensive starters, James Cook had the biggest play statistically.

The Bills running back totaled 111 rushing yards, his most in a game this season and the third-most by the third-year player in his career. Cook also found the end zone twice.

“All week we told him it was going to hit here, all week it was going to hit here, and Cook just went into the game and ran with it,” offensive lineman Dion Dawkins said.

“He can be a furious runner,” quarterback Josh Allen said.

Allen had a good passing day with 283 yards and two touchdown throws. But having Cook put up big numbers in the backfield helped the entire offense perform at its best.

“He’s focused, he’s preparing, and that doesn’t come naturally. These guys are working in this locker room during the week to prepare as best they can,” said head coach Sean McDermott.

Cook now has seven rushing touchdowns this season. Only Derrick Henry (8) and Kyren Williams (8) have more through Week 8.
