The Performing Arts League will host “On the Town: Fashion Meets Theater,” a fundraiser to support its ongoing efforts to encourage youth participation in the performing arts. “On the Town: Fashion Meets Theater” will be held Friday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Walden Club, 633 Chestnut St., and will include a luncheon and fashion show highlighting the creativity of costumes used for ballet and theaters were designed. as well as exclusive designs from Yacoubian Tailors.

The event also features performances by recent recipients of PAL grants and scholarship programs, as well as the silent auction “A Night on the Town.”

Tickets are $85 and can be bought here. The deadline for purchasing tickets is November 8th.

Karen Wilson, President of PAL, said, “PAL’s annual fundraising events support our ongoing mission to provide scholarships to talented young artists in the fields of dance, music and theater, as well as grants to regional nonprofit performing arts organizations whose programs they support and form. This year we are pleased to showcase the fashionable creations of Yacoubian Tailors along with the creativity of outstanding clients Randy Forrester and Haley Warner.

“Randy is a veteran of the Chattanooga theater scene and has worked with Oak Street Playhouse, Chattanooga Theater Center and Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, among others. New to our region, Haley recently joined Chattanooga Ballet as Wardrobe and Production Manager. brings her extensive experience in live and film projects including Ballet Memphis, Tennessee Shakespeare Company and Tennessee Ballet Theater, among others.

“Once again there will be performances by exceptional young artists supported by PAL’s scholarship program, as well as our silent auction, A Night on the Town, which will offer a range of exciting experiences including performances, food and other related options.
