Looking for a unique trick-or-treating experience? The city of Colorado Springs offers fun, free options for families!

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Temperatures aren’t too scary for Halloween, but if you’re looking for an indoor option or just a cool twist on trick-or-treating, there are some free options in Colorado Springs on Thursday !

MALL-O-WEEN

If you’ve ever wanted to go trick-or-treating at a mall, the Citadel is giving kids a chance at Halloween! “Mall-o-ween” is a family-friendly trick-or-treating option that takes children through the mall where they can purchase candy at participating stores.

– Starts at 3:30 p.m. and lasts until 7:00 p.m

– The minimum age for children to trick-or-treat is 12 years old

– Must be accompanied by an adult

– No dressing up in violent costumes or weapon props

– Children receive a stamp upon entry and must show the stamp to receive treats

– In addition to trick-or-treating, there will be a fashion show, costume contest and prizes to be won!

INDOOR FAMILY HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL

If you’re looking for an event with something for everyone, check this out Indoor family Halloween festival at SoccerHaus COS! The event has been hosted by Connecting Communities since 2019 and this year is part of the city’s “1,000 Neighborhood Meetings” initiative!

The event takes place Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 4845 List Drive. Highlights include:

– Free entry, parking, bounce houses, trick-or-treating and hands-on activities

Local sponsors and vendors offer treats and interactive experiences

– Sensory-friendly hour from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m

– Costume contest at 5 p.m

– Karaoke DJ entertainment

– Full pub and restaurant on site

While the event is free, it supports the anti-bullying non-profit Aedyn’s Backpack Club and there are additional prizes for anyone who would like to donate!
