Ole Miss Football vs. Arkansas Score Prediction, Scouting Report for Week 10 SEC Game

Ole Miss Football vs. Arkansas Score Prediction, Scouting Report for Week 10 SEC Game

OXFORD − Ole Miss football is on the way to a place where there was fighting.

The no. 18 Rebels (6-2, 2-2 SEC) play Arkansas (5-3, 3-2) in Fayetteville on Saturday (11 a.m., ESPN). Ole Miss is 2-8 in Fayetteville since 2002.

Both teams emerge victorious. Ole Miss defeated Oklahoma 26-14 behind one strong defensive performance. Arkansas showed off its offensive prowess in a 58-25 win over Mississippi State.

Here are some things to look out for when Ole Miss takes on the Razorbacks:

Star Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul returns to play against the former team

Ole Miss linebacker Chris Paul put together a performance that will make Arkansas miss him.

Paul transferred to Ole Miss from Arkansas in the offseason. He recorded 59 tackles for Ole Miss, a team-high. Pro Football Focus rates him as the No. 1 linebacker in the country among players who have played significant snaps.

Paul played three seasons for Arkansas. Have his teammates seen a difference in his preparation this week?

“Pooh kind of comes with a sense of urgency in every game, so it’s really hard to tell the difference,” linebacker TJ Dottery said. “I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a big game, but he’s a really smart football player. I know his feelings won’t get the better of him.”

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin said players should be careful when playing an emotional game.

“This needs to be handled properly,” Kiffin said. “It doesn’t always work. You can be overrated too much. We’re more focused on him preparing and playing the same way he has.”

A rainy forecast could complicate the passing efficiency of Lane Kiffin, Jaxson Dart’s offense

AccuWeather has a grim forecast for Saturday’s game. It will be a moderately warm day (71 degrees), but there is a chance of severe thunderstorms.

Sloppy conditions could lead to a reliance on the Rebels’ quick play. Ole Miss has struggled to get its ground attack going in recent weeks.

Running back Henry Parrish led Ole Miss on the ground against Oklahoma, rushing for 44 yards on 15 carries. Parrish was held to 42 yards on 14 carries in the previous game against LSU. Running back Ulysses Bentley rushed for 107 yards against the Tigers, but he didn’t always get the opportunity get into a rhythm. Bentley got five rush attempts against Oklahoma.

Ole Miss vs. Arkansas Score Prediction

Ole Miss 27, Arkansas 17: The Razorbacks have a strong offense with quarterback Taylen Green. Despite a 58-point performance against Mississippi State, look for Ole Miss’ defense to significantly slow down the Razorbacks. The most goals Arkansas has scored in three games against an SEC opponent is 17. Ole Miss’ defense can compete with the best in the conferences.
