An NBA insider says the Bulls have put a star point guard on the trading block

The Chicago Bulls are willing to trade star point guard Lonzo Ball, per Jake Fischer. The guard is in the midst of his comeback season after being unable to play for two seasons.

“It’s no surprise, then, that Bulls executives have told rival front offices that they are willing to discuss the majority of their roster in trade talks before the Feb. 6 trade deadline, according to league sources.” According to sources, Chicago has “We particularly expressed a desire to move LaVine, Vučević and Ball – who together have a combined salary of almost $85 million this season.”

This season, Ball has averaged five points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and 37% from distance in 16 minutes per game. Ball was almost considered retired after his injuries kept him from playing, so that’s definitely a good start.

In his best season before his injury, Ball was a starter for the New Orleans Pelicans and averaged 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals per game. If he can be given more minutes, he could definitely return to that form.

Teams like the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat could definitely use his playmaking ability to improve their offensive game. Only time will tell where the ball will move at the trade deadline.
