Pep Guardiola rules out resigning from Manchester City

Manchester City have not won six games in a row across all competitions, losing five of them. In the top game in the Premier League on Sunday they are clear outsiders at Liverpool FC. Is Pep Guardiola still the right person for the job? The Spaniard commented on rumors of his resignation on Saturday.

Despite the growing challenges, Guardiola is determined to solve the problems and lead the team forward.

“I don’t want to run away,” said Guardiola. “I want to be here.” I want to rebuild the team in many ways by the end of the season and then try to continue playing at the top next season. Can you name a team anywhere in the world that has consistently been at the top for ten years in a row? That doesn’t exist. Not even in the NBA, not in tennis, not in golf, not in any sport.

Guardiola continued: “It’s not nice to experience what we’re going through right now, but what do you expect? That everyone rolls out the red carpet and makes everything nice and easy? We will not whine, blame or blame, and will not run away from our own responsibility. This is all on my shoulders and I have to prove myself now.
