We know Newcastle United are dangerous – Crystal Palace’s star

Crystal Palace star Tyrick Mitchell has spoken ahead of the game against Newcastle United.

The left-back explains: “We know that Newcastle United are dangerous.”

Tyrick Mitchell has started all 12 Crystal Palace Premier League games this season, putting him second in the table having won just one of those dozen games, drawing five more and losing six.

The Crystal Palace star says that while Newcastle United have lost some games this season (four), they have also won many (eight in all competitions).

You may remember Tyrick Mitchell and his part in the most appalling VAR/referee decision against strong opponents in recent years.

Two seasons ago St James’ ParkWith the game goalless, Sven Botman headed Kieran Trippier’s cross back over goal.

Joe Willock headed the ball into the goal from close range but was clearly pushed by Tyrick Mitchell and Willock pushed past Palace keeper Vicente Guaita.

When Tyrick Mitchell committed the foul, the ball bounced off his chest and into the goal.

Newcastle United players and fans waited to see whether there would be a goal or a penalty for Tyrick Mitchell’s foul on Joe Willock, only for VAR and the on-field referee to somehow conclude that it was supposedly a free kick for Palace for Willock The goalkeeper was fouled even though Mitchell had clearly pushed him Newcastle Player was in the air.

Incredible. The game also ended goalless, although Newcastle Palace attacked.

Hopefully there won’t be any such nonsense against United this afternoon.

Tyrick Mitchell speaks to Premier League Productions:

“We know Newcastle United are dangerous.

“Everyone saw that last season.

“They saw it this season too – they won a lot of games.

“They have lost games but also won a lot of games and beat some very good teams this season.

“We know it will be difficult as a team, but we know what we are capable of and how we play will determine whether we win or lose.”

“From the moment I joined I could see how huge the fanbase was, how much people appreciated Palace, especially in south London. It was definitely a proud moment when I joined.

“From then on it was like a roller coaster ride. There have been downs but also a lot of ups and when you play for Palace you just feel a sense of pride when you play and try to achieve something.

“It just feels like a family base and a place where you can really grow as a player and as a person.”

Tyrick Mitchell on the season so far:

“The first few games were tough. We had a lot of players who took part in the tournaments in the summer so they weren’t really there in the pre-season but personally we didn’t start the way we wanted and when we looked at the database it showed that we didn’t play the way we finished the season last year.

“I think we’ve just gone back to our basic principles when it comes to how much we run – we try to outrun our opponents in possession and without possession and if you can do that you’ve already half won the game, If that makes sense.” – So I think our physical performance is part of the fact that we’ve really tried to improve since the start of the season.

“We know what we are good at and how we can win games. That’s why it’s about enabling these moments even more and putting ourselves in a position to show how good we are, and I think that’s the main goal going forward from the next game – and from every game onwards .

“Since we are in the table, you always look forward to the next game. You always want to get everything right, for yourself, for your team, for your teammates, for the manager and for the club, so we’re definitely looking forward to that. We just feel like things will get better and better once we get over this little hurdle that we might have right now.”
