Due to the points bonus per catch awarded, the receiver position is the most popular skill position in PPR fantasy football formats. A strong performance following a game with a lot of objectives can make a big difference in fantasy matches.

Many receivers fall somewhere between the clear No. 1 and No. 2 WR spots on their teams, and it’s important to accurately assess them so you can make good decisions about whether to start or sit them.

Let’s look at three pass catchers and consider whether you should incorporate them into your starting lineup.

He is Cleveland’s clear No. 1 receiver. Particularly in PPR formats, you need to keep track of the objectives (assuming a player isn’t a complete PPR cheat or unproductive target eater). Jeudy is none of them. In the last five games, he had 42 scores, 25 catches, 397 yards and one touchdown.

People have forgotten that he was an elite prospect coming out of college. He’s a great receiver in a great role. You can’t bench him. Quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) was terrible. It’s not the famous Jameis Winston. Start Jeudy.

Yes. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is simply an elite receiver. You just can’t put someone who’s that good at football on the bench. Sure, technically he’s No. 2 behind Ja’Marr Chase, but that’s irrelevant to fantasy. Quarterback Joe Burrow can support two elite fantasy options in this offense.

Okay, scratch that. 1a and 1a. Seriously. Start with Higgins or you won’t be serious. There’s a reason he’s about to get more than $25 million a year.

Yes. Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has easily taken over the team’s WR2 spot and is fighting for a 1a-1b situation with leading WR DK Metcalf. This is an easy decision. Integrate him into your starting lineup and keep him there.

In his last three games, he averaged just under 26.2 PPR fantasy points per game. Don’t think about it too much.
