Between them is a skeleton with a Wagner cap, the ghost of Richard Wagner hovers over the piece as a recurring theme.

The opulent stage design (Daniela Zorrozua) uses the full potential of the Volksbühne The many actors are clearly having fun. In addition, continuous video clips (Adrian Terzic) flicker on the side of the stage; at times you don’t even know where to look.

After the premiere almost 150 years ago, the Jewish composer Adalbert Goldschmidt is now back with “The Seven Deadly Sins”. Berlin. He was received with long applause, standing ovations and cheers.
