Scavenger hunt in Fulda city center: award ceremony for the musical summer competition

11/30/24 – “It’s about presenting the city of Fulda and getting things moving” – that’s exactly why City Marketing’s musical summer competition exists. First chairman Felix Wessling added: “At the same time, our partners, be they restaurants or hotels, have the opportunity to show themselves. Tourists in particular have the opportunity to get to know everything with the scavenger hunt.”

The competition took place as part of city marketing

The competition has been running for twelve years and the future is also clear. “It’s definitely planned again for next year and then we’ll see what happens next,” explained Cathrin Schard, part of the city marketing department. She added: “A lot of people asked us again this year when it would finally start. The competition itself begins shortly before the first musical and ends at the beginning of September.”

“There are a total of three routes that lead through the city center”

Schard explained the exact participation process as follows: “We left letters with all the retailers who took part and so the participants in the competition had to enter the respective letters using the flyer. This resulted in three solution words. There are a total of three routes that lead through the city center, so you can then decide which route you take and four winners will be drawn.”

“We have four winners with what we think are great prizes,” said Wessling. The prices are always varied! “In addition to a range of lotions, shower gels and hygiene products, there is generally an overnight stay, a visit to a musical and lots of great vouchers from our various partners who work with us.”

Third place goes to Birgit Reuter

Mirko Freisinger came in second

Yves Weiske received first place

This year’s winner

Sigrid Minnich, who was represented at the award ceremony by her friend Susanne Odenwald, came in fourth place. Birgit Reuter was in third place and Mirko Minnich was on the silver podium. Yves Weiske took first place. Everyone picked up their prizes or their friends’ prizes with a beaming smile.

“In addition to a lotion, shower gel and hygiene series, an overnight stay is basically…”

Finally, Wessling said: “I think it’s nice that we can encourage tourists, but also residents, to engage with the city. The route gives you a perfect insight into everything. It’s just this type of scavenger hunt that just becomes tempting.” (wrong)+++
